June 18, 2024 - The First Day of Summer!

 June 20th is the first day of summer! Summer Solstice will take place at 1:24 p.m. Thursday!

Please research IN ENGLISH some scientific fact about summer. For example: the time of the sunset, or the position of Earth in space, the amount of sunlight etc.

Then search for a fun summer activity IN ENGLISH. For example: going to the beach, making ice cream, safety in the sun etc.

Please search WEBSITES not YOUTUBE!

Post your information and write in 50 words or more, what you have found

My Example:

 

Today I learned about Summer Solstice. It is the day that the Northern Hemisphere of Earth is facing the closest to the sun. That means its very hot, and we have a lot of sunlight! Actually the South Pole has ZERO sunlight for several months and in other places in the Southern Hemisphere, the day light is very short. I learned about it here on this site!

This vacation I will go see fireworks shows, festivals and maybe go to the beach. If you want to know more about where you can go, visit this site here!

     Let's talk about games! I have been playing games all my life, ever since I got a home version of Pac-Man for Christmas all the way back in 1982!! I don't play games very often, and honestly I only play old-style games. Ones that are short and simple to learn. I don't have infinite time (like you) to play games all weekend! October 22, 2024 - Halloween is Coming!!

 The assignment for October 29th is very long, because it is like a test. October 8, 2024 - Getting Sick!!

     Getting sick!   Yes, it is that time of year! People start getting cold and flu! Please search online in English for sites and blogs that give helpful advice and tips for how to keep healthy in the fall and wintertime (no videos)     Than write in 50 words or more your opinion about the links you found. Please include website links. Please do not talk about corona, just general health. My example: Oh no! cold and flu season is almost here! But do not worry, I have some secrets that can help you. I am going to eat lots of vegetables, because they fight off illness. I will also get lots of  Vitamin D, from being out in the sunshine, and from pills, this helps keep you awake and your mind clear. I will also wash my hands a lot to kill germs and avoid spreading them. How did I learn all this? From a great site online!
