 Sunday,  July 7th is Tanabata! It is a wonderful festival in Japan in the summer time. Please watch this short video about Tanabata and write about what you learned. then, write some more about your opinions of the festival and if you have/had plans for this year's Tanabata.  Because it is very hot, I will allow you to stay home and do the assignment for the rest of July. The post will appear online, on Monday (our class is Tuesday) please have it finished by 18:15 on Tuesday morning of each week.    You must return to class in person in September. New people might join the class too. Twitter has a new owner? Did you know? I think you do!  This story  here tells everything. Yes, it is a longgggg story! Basically, Twitter had gotten a bad reputation  because they like to ban users, and remove stories that they didn't agree with. This angered Elon Musk, who also owns Tesla. He stepped up to try and buy the company. When he took over, he unbanned almost everyone and made algorythms public. Many people liked these changes. But

 June 20th is   the first day of summer! Summer Solstice will take place at 1:24 p.m. Thursday! Please research IN ENGLISH some scientific fact about summer. For example: the time of the sunset, or the position of Earth in space, the amount of sunlight etc. Then search for a fun summer activity IN ENGLISH. For example: going to the beach, making ice cream, safety in the sun etc. Please search WEBSITES not YOUTUBE! Post your information and write in 50 words or more, what you have found Thanks!! My Example:   Today I learned about Summer Solstice. It is the day that the Northern Hemisphere of Earth is facing the closest to the sun. That means its very hot, and we have a lot of sunlight! Actually the South Pole has ZERO sunlight for several months and in other places in the Southern Hemisphere, the day light is very short. I learned about it here  on this site!  Today was a very exciting day in the tech world, Apple held a big event called WWDC. They announced new iOS18 and a lot of AI!
