My example: 

One of my favorite songs is "Ghostbusters III" by Nerf Herder. It was released in 2016. Nerf Herder is one of my favorite bands. The songs are very funny and often related to pop culture and strange things you dont usually hear in songs. The name of the band Nerf Herder comes form Star Wars, if you did not know. Princess Leia called Han Solo a "nerf-herder" when she was mad at him in one scene. We don't see a nerf in the movie but the idea is funny. 

In the song Ghostbusters III, the singer tells the story of a girl he likes, but that she does not like him. He compares the sadness to Ghostbusters III, a movie he wanted to see all of his life, but was never made and now can never be made because one of the main actors died in 2014. Its funny because I can understand the pain he is going through. We always wated to see this movie but, now its too late, and there was always a girl somewhere that you can't be with.  Listening to the song to the end, it sounds to me like he is more upset about the movie, than the girl.

Whats funny is that in 2016 there was a new Ghostbsuters movie. But it was terrible, nobody liked it. I never watched it! Then in 2021 there was a new Ghostbusters movie with most of the original cast from I and II. But, because it follows the story of new characters, it is still not Ghostbusters III, which is sadly, never gonna happen!

There is now another NEW Ghostbusters movie in 2024. But still, it isnt Ghostbusters III

What is also funny is that Nerf Herder had another song that was very close to reality in 1996 with "Van Halen" That made fun of the band Van Halen for changing singers long ago. When this song was new, Van Halen went back to the original singer for a short time, which made the song popular.

 

The band also had a funny CD cover that parodied the band.
